In a moment of calm, Jack Straw admitted that if the public knew the lies and outright illegal activities of the government the people would revolt and change the system of government. The struggle to hold secret the meetings leading up to the UK's entrance into the Iraq invasion with George Bush expanded after the courts ordered the records to be made public. In shock and horror the government, in the personage of Jack Straw, balked and refused to release the records citing the "public interest in maintaining the integrity of our system of government" is more important than knowing how the corrupt the government is. Once again the governments corruption is so bad that knowledge by its subjects would cause a riot!
The government has already released many documents showing the legal teams warning of the illegal aspects of all the government decisions to the invasion of Iraq. It shows while millions of the Queens' subjects filled the streets in protest their government plotted to circumvent the law and pal up with George Bush to take the Middle East oil fields – legal or not. It was not legal as it was an invasion.
We predict the subjects of the UK will continue to subjugate themselves even if the truth were known. There is little a disarmed people can do to the ruling class who can defy their own laws and remain immune from any prosecution; blocking knowledge under the guise that continuance of corrupt government immunity is more important than tossing off the corruption it has become. Willing slaves will do their jobs-worth, complain loudly, and go back to work tomorrow.
As Mayor Michael Bloomberg has recently said; "Good government or bad its democracy (mob rule)." (1)
