Election Fraud in Afghanistan Clouds US Authority

The election fraud in Afghanistan is only the tip of the iceberg as the US and UN sponsored elections failed in this tribal nation.

Trying desperately to install a mob (majority) rule government in Afghanistan the US, with the aide of UN sponsorship, tried to install a legitimate government by offering the people a chance to vote for its champions and forget thousands of years of their own tribal elections. Spending several billion dollars in munitions and countless lives the US armed forces went out to kill anyone who did not want this foreign installed government to have authority.

With less than 29 percent of those still alive actually participating in the US controlled elections the authority of the installed puppet regime of Karzi has fallen apart.

Recent disclosures of the UN’s role in obscuring the role of Karzi in controlling ballot boxes where no one showed up have caused Peter Galbraith to resign his position as the only American on the UN mission to investigate the frauds. Galbraith exposed Kai Eide, the Norwegian royalist, as playing down any fraud in the election where less than a third of the population granted authority. Will a minority of paid participants be able to set law for those who do not want to participate in the fraud?

What is real and apparent is that Eide wants to keep the fraud rolling in favor of "democracy" no matter the course. Fact is Afghanistan showed it would not grant the authority to democratic government, as the majority would not participate and those that did created fraud to make the appearance of a win by the foreign installed democracy of Karzi. Even with 60,000 American troops murdering anyone trying to undermine their installed government the popular Taliban party still stands tall and controls the majority of the hearts and minds. Perhaps the bribery that worked in Iraq has not been tried here?

After eight long years of war the US has not only lost ground but also the Taliban party has proved it is the party of the people of Afghanistan. The US has tried to murder, dishonor and change history by framing the Taliban as a terrorist group rather than the political party it is. Where the Taliban control the Afghan nation there is law and order. Where there is installed foreign democracy there is rampant corruption and insurrection against it. As the US generals agree, "the Taliban offer services the government cannot." The reason the US and its installed government cannot win is that the Afghan people do not want a government that is foreign and turn to the Taliban for real justice under their own religious beliefs.
