Not since the daze of the Holy Roman Empire has the world seen such perfidy from those entrusted to lead. With the death of the EU Constitution when the vote came by the people it failed. The rulers are determined to sidestep this roadblock and make a treaty that accomplishes the same mission without asking.
"We have opted for a normal ratification procedure," Dutch Prime Minister Jan-Peter Balkenende told a press conference after the meeting. "A new referendum is not necessary and not desirable."
We certainly can understand why it is “not desirable” but beg to differ that it is not necessary. In the first instance there is scant publication of the treaty, which is the Constitution with few modifications. We also find the use of "normal ratification" obscene and obscures the issue that politically bought rulers direct the future freedoms of their subjects.
"We are not talking about a constitution anymore. The constitution is gone," he said. Referring to a key report by the Council of State, the Dutch government's highest advisory body, Mr. Balkenende stated the new treaty "is not going the road of a statist or federal Europe."
In fact it may be the road of the new Holy Roman Empire if the rulers have their way. The treaty still contains the charter of “human rights” that will be used to strip all other rights from member “states”. This was from the lesson learned with the united States of America; strip the individual nations (each State in the USA was once a sovereign nation just as nations in Europe are) of rights through a sort of osmosis process. Slowly taking over “precedence” of lawmaking from the member “States”. Soon, they are only one part and laws are made where one states commerce becomes illegal as it did in the USA. A war breaks out over differences and from the ashes comes a federal state.
"If the Netherlands would vote 'no' again, what would happen? A situation of new negotiations would not occur just like that. You shouldn't take new negotiations for granted." Balkenende further clarified the fears the tiny nation has.
So the Dutch want to subject to the faux constitutional treaty through polititians pressure? The obvious fear that knowledge of its contents will kill the treaty again and toss the well-laid expansionists plans in the toilet is blatant. If you say no to subjugation then there will not be another chance. It might be mentioned that the rulers want that Banking treaty – it gives each of them billions of Euros free! But you will have to pay for that excess.
Balkenende went on "Other member states have made maximum concessions," he said, adding, "It is not realistic to start discussions with all member states anew."
So, if this new treaty/constitution is bogus it is not realistic to discuss because? Because a couple freaks complied with some back room handling in a meeting? The people loose the back-room handlers win?
I am happy to see many Dutch have taken this to heart and find D66 Member of Parliament Boris van der Ham telling EUobserver "It is not logical to ask people in 2005 – what do you think? – and then not put the changed treaty to them now." – A most logical understanding.
Yet the obvious question is “Where is this treaty?” and “Why can’t the people read and understand what their governments are doing?” This is more than a backdoor to bring a new federal empire. It is a powered move to bring Europeans under laws they will be subject to from an authority they have no direct voice. The people will have a say through the very rulers who are railroading this constitutional treaty without allowing you to see the goods. A very good trick of the snake oil salesman with the loss of your sovereignty and any thought of freedom.
