Bush Surge A Failure In Iraq As Death Toll Rise

The failed surge of President Bush is showing its ugly head now as the violence continues unabated. No surge in this world will convert a nation into an American State anymore.

The fact is the year of the surge produced as many, if nor more, US deaths than any other year of this war. The fact is this surge only seemed to work on the surface due to a cease-fire in August of 2007 until this February.

It seems the arrogance of the US government and its installed government in Iraq has come before the disaster. It has been many weeks now and more Americans are dead and wounded each day setting records. Troop levels are higher than the original planned level set for “the surge”. When the surge was started there were 120,000 troops, the surge was supposed to be 20,000 more but was actually 80,000 as the rotations work. That brought the US forces in Iraq to 192,000 at the peak. It was lucky that the cease-fire was in place when the numbers are that high.

As the military now had its numbers way higher than the initial sough 140,000 they had no trouble agreeing to withdrawals and pulled the troops who had gone mental in the fields. Things get worse.

American soldiers are now killing civilians in the poor ghettos of Baghdad at an alarming rate. 2.5 million people live there. More people than live in many US major cities, and they are branded as terrorist Al-Qaida. Something is wrong.

The real problem now in Iraq is that the USA thinks it can install some government to fix the problems it caused by making a pre-emptive destruction of its government based on lies. The US government is hold up in a fortress that is being bombed daily by simple people in the ghettos fighting for survival against invaders who are there uninvited by anyone outside that small green zone.

The green zone is a one square kilometer where the US government sits with its created new government of Iraq while it destroys anyone who will not join. This is democracy at the end of the gun. Mob rule by power and might over the poor of the earth.

Stop the madness.
